My Girl

Nothing of importance...she is simply too sweet. She likes to "sing" opera now!

Rescue Heros and Country Girl

I had a yard full of rescue heros. They seemed intent on putting many bricks and sticks in the duck pond! Then a sweet country girl came out on her 4 wheeler. Note the cowgirl boots with a skirt! Apparently she had some driving infraction because she was quickly followed out by the police!

Book Worm!!

Way to go my girl! We have a program at school called Accelerated Reading, or AR. The elementary kids are divided into teams and read books. The books have to bevpart of the program but are very far reaching. The kids then take computer tests on the book and earn points. Of course it is a great contest, team against team. Caitlyn is on team Dolphin, in third place. However, her grade is only in second place. Which means that only one other grade ( I think fifth) is higher than first grade in number of points. Team Dolphin consists of kids from K-6. Caitlyn is the second highest point earner for her team. She had a goal based on her postion in first grade-6 points in this six week period. She passed that and I challenged her to get to 15 points and I would get her ice cream at DQ. She missed one day of school and still made the points. We went to DQ and were very proud. So I said, thinking that with only 1 week left in the 6 week period, make it to 25 and we can go again. She come home from school with 24 points. She read two books at home and will test on those tomorrow. So guess who is going to score DQ again?!!

But the way cool thing is......she is reading chapter books!! I am so super proud of her. She has great comprehension because her test scores are excellent.

Like mother like daughter, books are our friends. And if anyone has any books in the "Jenny Dale Pony Tales" series, please let me know!!!

Pre-school fun and William the Rock Eater

It has been a fun couple of days in PK! On Friday the twins came home with some great facial markings. With non washable marker. The good news is that according to both their teachers, they had a great time. It is a amazing that shampoo cleaned up most of it!

Then on Monday, William ate a rock in the car on the way home. This isn't the first time and sometimes we wonder. But apparently eating and tasting (Pica behavior) inedible things is a common ASD thing. So we gave him the talk about how eating rocks is generaly a bad idea.

Then William showed me the fantastic necklace he made. Judging by the markings on some of the scissors, he had quite a light fingered day in the school! And yes, I am making him take them back tomorrow.

From the Archives....Conner Bowling

This was a popular game last winter.....please note there is no sound (it was before I got my new camera!) and please note that Conner really liked doing this. No water bottles were harmed in the making of this video.

Discover Sharks....

Conner loves sharks! His Auntie got him this stuffed shark for Christmas. One of his biggest moments was seeing the sharks at the aquarium last summer when we went to visit Aunt Jennifer. Since my boy makes it an effort to watch Discovery channel during shark week, I made him this outfit. He loves it! He even wore it to church one week, and had to drag the shark with him (the stuffed shark is named, of course, Shark Bait).

Well, now that shark week is over we are all hooked on episodes of Mythbusters......just think of what my boys can do with that information!

For those of you who weren't aware, I design and sew children's Boutique Clothing with my BFF Jori (she's sister material!). I usually sell on ebay but........

It may be old news to some, but ebay is changing it's fee structure and feedback policy. The fees are higher, the sellers have more restrictions, less searchability and have their funds held before release. Also buyers can now not receive negative feedback. I have left negative feedback once, because a buyer didn't pay. Ebay doesn't do much to resolve these issues and leaving a negative is about all I could do. Now that is gone.
we believe in great customer service and an outstanding product. But we don't believe that ebay is the only place to sell our great items. The week of February the 18th we will be boycotting ebay. Please check out our store at www.LetHerBeLittle.Etsy.com

As buyers, please know that you have many options:
winkelf
ecrater
onlineauction
ebid
buyitsellit
ePier
Bidville
ioffer

Just to name a few. Get friendly with them. Remember, lower fees for sellers means lower prices for buyers!
