The Little Oasis on the Prairie

Just off the base Highway, is a small sign pointing the way to Oasis State Park.
For a piddling five dollars, you can park your trailer, saddle up and take to the Sand Hills.

After, of course, your daughter puts your horse's forelock in a "unicorn" up-do.

Then your daughter needs to take a photo of you taking a photo...

The Entry to the Sand Hills.  Mind you, these are the only hills in our very flat area.
After running up and down in thick sand, Bella concedes defeat and ceases to act like a fruit bat.

Sam takes in the view in an attempt to avoid climbing the hills again.

All in all, Oasis is a fun place to take a ride.  Just bring a rake, because anything deposited at the trailer site has to leave the site!

Regional Science Fair

So proud of Caitlyn and her BFF, Cheyenne.  They proudly were part of the group representing Dora at the Regional Science Fair.  I am delighted to see so many girls in a S.T.E.A.M. related program!

Way to go girls!
